Τhe First Encounter

In the mid-20th century, the Sigalas family cultivated vines in their traditional wine cave (kanava) in Baxedes, Oia. This period laid the foundation for a deep connection to Santorini's unique terroir and winemaking traditions.

In 1987, Paris Sigalas, originally a mathematician, participated in the harvest at his grandfather's kanava, igniting his passion for winemaking. This experience led to the establishment of Domaine Sigalas in 1991, marking a new era of quality and innovation in Santorini wines.
